range Tcl Command

NAME

range - compute the minimum, maximum, and range

SYNOPSIS

::dmh::range number_list

DESCRIPTION

This command scans a list of numeric values for the minimum and maximum values. The range is computed as the maximum minus the minimum. The returned result is a three element list: {minimum maximum range}. If the input list is empty, the result "{} {} {}" is returned. The returned values are always formatted as floating point numbers. The global variable, tcl_precision, discussed under tclvars, sets the precision of the result.
