The Hume SECS software includes configurable Tcl/Tk applications for both the Host and Equipment roles.  These applications are invaluable for learning, testing, and demonstration.  The online documentation has more detail on the design of the applications, their user interface features, and the secsport and hsms Tcl commands that they utilize.
